Can I access you using my NHS "Right to Choose"
We are not a Right to Choose provider. We do not take NHS contracts at present. You have the right to choose a private provider using NHS funding and we are open to transferring to such a provider when that referral is accepted if you want to get started with us first.
You should think carefully about who you choose to provide your care. It is your right to choose who you want but do check out reviews and what people say about any provider, including us, before making a choice. Services are not all the same.
Why do you charge by the hour?
Everyone’s needs are different, and the amount of time required for assessment can vary significantly from one person to another.
Charging by the hour ensures that you only pay for the time that is actually needed, rather than a fixed package that may include unnecessary elements.
This approach is designed to:
· Avoid overpaying for services that are not required
· Allow the process to reflect your individual needs
· Ensure that assessment is proportionate rather than standardised
For some people, this means a shorter and more straightforward process. For others, it allows additional time where more detailed exploration is needed to reach a clear and accurate outcome.
This flexibility is an important part of ensuring that assessment remains appropriate to your situation, rather than following a fixed structure that may not reflect your needs.
This approach is intended to ensure that the process remains fair and proportionate, rather than applying a fixed cost that may not reflect what you actually need.
How much does it cost?
Our initial assessment takes an hour and this will outline our initial thoughts about what could be done to help with the challenges you face and also where you may build on your existing strengths. That may be assessing for a specific diagnosis and arranging treatment, but it may be a range of other supports that could help.
Please see our services and billing page.
How much does the assessment process cost?
We charge £300 per hour.
Most people pay around £1200 on average for a full diagnostic assessment, with a typical range of £900–£1800 depending on individual needs and circumstances.
This reflects the fact that assessment is not a fixed process and may vary depending on the level of detail required, the complexity of your situation, and how much time is needed to reach a clear and accurate understanding.
How do I pay?
We have tried to make our pricing as transparent and fair as we can. We ask for payment in advance of any appointment. If we undertake further work outside of this billing system we will discuss this with you. We do not agree that everyone should pay the same for their assessment. We think that it is more fair to charge for the work we do and our billing is built around exactly that principle, paying only for what you use.
You can pay by card online and if this is not convenient for you we will be happy to discuss alternative methods.
If you are having difficulties with payments because your circumstances have changed we encourage you to talk with us so that we can look at ways to help with this.
If you are working to a budget then we can work with that so that the costs are kept within your budget. This may mean it takes longer but we will always be transparent about costs. We can also guide you on medication costs which can vary a lot, depending on the treatments you choose.
Do I have to pay upfront?
Payment is required at the point of booking for each appointment.
This helps ensure that appointments are confirmed and that time is allocated appropriately.
Sometimes we book for people and in such cases they are sent an invoice which should be paid prior to the appointment.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes — payment option with Klarna is be available, which allows you to spread the cost interest free over three months.
This can provide additional flexibility depending on your circumstances.
If once we've started working with you you experience unexpected hardship you should let us know as we may be able to help.
Are there any hidden costs?
No — all costs are explained in advance before any further work is undertaken.
You will not be asked to proceed with anything without a clear understanding of what it involves and what it will cost.
Some people do forget that with private care you do need to pay for the cost of your medicines. We have no control of the private costs of medications.
What additional costs might there be?
Additional costs may include assessment tools such as QbCheck, medication, or follow-up support.
These will always be discussed with you in advance so that you can decide whether they are appropriate for your situation.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
Appointment availability varies, but we do not have a waiting list.
We will provide the next available options at the time of booking so that you can decide what works best for you.
If you can't find a suitable appointment or clinician via our booking links then let us know and we will try to accommodate your requests.
How long does it take to receive a report?
Reports are typically provided soon after assessment. Reports are not shared where there is more than one invoice outstanding. We allow up to 28 days for reports to be written, however they are often done the same day.
We will advise you on expected timeframes based on your specific situation, as this can vary depending on the level of detail required.
How do you protect my privacy?
Our clinic is regulated by the Care Quality Commission who have clear standards that any health and social care provider must meet. We use "Semble" as our records system and they are continually working to ensure that the highest standards of data security are maintained.
