What is the divergence app?
The divergence app provides access to a range of digital support, resources and community spaces.
It is designed to support understanding, learning and connection outside of appointments or in-person sessions.
Within the app, you may be able to access:
· ADHD information and guidance
· Structured resources and guide booklets
· Blog and podcast content
· FAQs and learning materials
· Community groups and discussion spaces
· Links to relevant services and support
For people engaging with clinical services, the app may also provide access to communication channels and useful clinic-related information.
The aim of the app is to provide ongoing, accessible support that can be used alongside or independently of other services, depending on what is most helpful for you.
Where can I find the divergence smartphone app?
You can find the app by searching in your device’s app store.
It may appear as “divergenceADHD” (Google) or “ThinkADHD” (Apple) depending on your device and platform.
If you are unsure, you can refer to the website or contact divergence for the correct download links.
Is the app free?
The app can be downloaded and accessed free of charge, with optional subscription features available.
Many core resources and areas of the app are accessible without any payment. Subscriptions allow access to more content and those subscriptions are used to pay for the content so the more people subscribing the better the support will be for subscribers.
Why is there a subscription option?
The optional subscription supports the development and sustainability of community-based services delivered through divergence Works CIC.
This includes maintaining and developing resources, supporting community spaces, and ensuring that information remains accessible and up to date.
The subscription is not required to access the app, and you can choose whether it is relevant or helpful for you.

Can I use the app on a laptop or desktop?
The app is designed for smartphone use and is not available on desktop or laptop devices.
Our website has useful information which can be accessed by laptop or desktop computer.
What kind of community support is available in the app?
The app includes access to community spaces where people can connect, share experiences and access peer support.
These spaces are designed to:
· Provide a sense of connection with others who have similar experiences
· Allow people to share insights and practical strategies
· Support ongoing understanding outside of formal services
Some community spaces are open, while others are private and require access approval.
How do I access private groups?
Access to private groups is managed through the app and may require invitation or approval depending on the group.
For example, some groups are specifically linked to external support networks or programmes, and access is controlled to ensure that they remain appropriate for the intended audience.
If you are eligible for a group, you will usually be given instructions on how to join.
Why can’t I see a group I’ve been invited to?
In some cases, groups may not appear immediately after you join the app.
This can happen if access has not yet been approved, if the invitation has not linked correctly, or if the app has not fully updated.
If this happens, you may need to:
· Ensure you are logged into the correct account
· Check that your access has been confirmed
· Refresh or restart the app
Go to the ‘More’ tab, select ‘Pricing Plans’, choose ‘Basic Free Plan’
Try restarting the app / Or signing out and back in
Try clicking the ‘Join’ link in your invite email again
The group should have appeared in your ‘Groups’ tab within the app—If the issue continues, you can contact divergence for support.

Is the community space public?
No — community spaces within the app are not publicly visible or searchable.
Access is restricted to users of the app, and some areas are further limited to specific groups.
This is designed to provide a more private and controlled environment for discussion and support.
How is information shared within the app managed?
Community spaces are moderated to help ensure that they remain appropriate, respectful and supportive.
Content is not publicly visible outside of the app, and access is controlled depending on the type of group.
This helps maintain a balance between open discussion and a safe, structured environment.
Do I have to use the app?
No — the app is optional.
You can choose whether to use it depending on what is helpful for you. Some people use it regularly as part of their support, while others may not use it at all.
It is designed as an additional resource rather than a required part of any pathway.
How does the app fit into the overall divergence system?
The app is one part of the wider divergence system.
It provides a way to access information, resources and community support in a flexible and ongoing way.
Some people use the app alongside clinical services, while others use it independently as a source of understanding and support.
It is not intended to replace assessment or formal support, but to complement and extend access to information and community where this is helpful.
