PEACE

Has started

On 20th October 2025 our first ever meeting for the new post diagnosis programme was held in Gateshead. Participants were given our newly published manual and work books and over the following six weeks met weekly for three hours to explore what their diagnosis means to them and develop their own plan to manage their own challenges.

Facilitators came away invigorated and the initial feedback from the participants is:

"Not one of us was able to sit still, and that was great, everyone was comfortable to fidget, to talk, and the whole experience blew me away."

"Meeting and hearing other people’s experiences of ADHD. It made me appreciate much better the concept that everyone’s ADHD is different. Previously I had sometimes thought “well if everyone’s is different, how can we call it the same thing?”. But it made it much clearer hearing from people with all sorts of different backgrounds - the external presentation is different in all of us, in the things we end up focussing on or the behaviours we have, but the underlying brain experience felt extremely common - the way other people were describing how their brain feels, it was very validating to hear people describe what I’ve not been able to put my finger on my whole life, and I felt very clearly then that despite how different we all may be, we share brains that function similarly."

When is it next on?

We are in the process of evaluating our first cohort who have now finished the course. In New Year we have plans to run two more groups and then we will be launching more widely with a revised and improved version. Stay tuned here to find out more.

We already have our second and third cohort filled but we hope to be able to open up to others soon.
