Susan Hutchinson

Mental Health Nurse

Susan began a nursing career in 1990 as a Mental Health Nurse for older adults within the NHS. Over time, transitioned to adult acute services, gaining experience across inpatient wards, day services, crisis management, community nursing, and Primary Care in GP surgeries. Later, Susan joined Nurse Education at a local university, contributing to the development of courses such as IAPT Talking Therapies and supporting students across health and social care programs.


As a course leader for the Mental Health Nursing program, Susan guided students through their studies and worked with individuals facing neurodiversity challenges in Higher Education. Most recently, returned to GP surgeries as a Primary Care Mental Health Practitioner, providing assessments, interventions, and signposting individuals to appropriate mental health services.


This broad experience enables to understand and address the challenges people face, empowering them to reach their full potential. is committed to supporting individuals in achieving their best and prioritizes personal health through exercise, yoga, mindfulness, and time with loved ones.
