Welcome
A warm welcome to all new members of this very quiet, almost painfully shy, online group. The intention here is to respond to what comes up in conversation. No conversation leads to no response.
Matt and I have had a forced break from talkADHD but we are discussing how we can improve on the podcast and have some thoughts on how we can make it more useful to folks. Don’t worry though we will still keep our critical eye on what’s going on in the world of ADHD, if not be more critical and bring you news of what changes are coming as things are moving forwards, it just in divergence but in the ADHD community as a whole.

I agree @Victoria that the humanity is important. I have no issue with changing the badges which we thought would be a quick reference for folks to know where someone was coming from. It’s not that anyone is better or more valued, far from it, but sometimes knowing that someone is a clinician or has expertise can help with the context of their comments. I’d love to hear what other folks think about the badges. They are easily removed but let’s see what folks say.
As for the podcast… That’s a fair comment. We haven’t overtly said here that it is this group’s podcast and if folks want something featured or have ideas (or even skills that could support Matt & I delivering the podcast) we are both very keen to hear from people here. That’s exactly what the WhatsApp group did and it worked well. The same can be true here. This is a shared space for us all and I’m keen to rekindle what happened in the WhatsApp group. I’d honestly thought it was quiet because it was a standalone app. If there is something glaringly obstructive then we will change it for sure.
