NeuroRoots Wildly Wired
Hello all. I have started my Peer led late diagnosed outdoor group again. See below for booking details. It is ran as Social Enterprise - once I get my head around registering at Companies House!
Eejits at the 'local business support' have not met my communication needs, so wading through best as possible.
This is in Coventry.

It works for intended purpose in my opinion. Though, it can mean different things. ADHD is only a disability if it causes significant negative impact to your life. So, with some they can live "normally" with positive aspects and it becomes more of a strength based part of them. I survive rather than function. I am certainly not high functioning. Far from it. Depends how much weight you give to labels. Should we be promoting instead that labels placed upon us can have as much or as little meaning as we want to give them. I absolutely support super power wording. What ever helps people to feel good about their ADHD should be seen as a helpful and positive mental tool in my opinion. There are things that my ADHD does that enhances my ability to do my job where Neurotypicals perhaps would struggle and to me whether its called a superpower (it is called that for me) or not, its about what that does for the person to get them through the day.
